Details
Founded in 1885 by missionary Henry Appenzeller, Jeongdong First Methodist Church is the first Methodist church in Korea and a cornerstone of modern education and culture. Its red-brick Gothic-style chapel is designated as a Seoul Cultural Property. Beyond worship, it played an active role in democratization and social movements, and today continues to host diverse cultural and historical programs.
